We’ve written this policy to be genuinely informative rather than generic legal filler, because the way Firaa handles your images is fundamentally different from most online tools, and we think that difference matters to you.
How your images are handled
This is the most important part of our privacy practices, so we want to explain it clearly. Every image tool on Firaa, including our JPG compressors, PNG compressor, image resizer, crop tool, rotate and flip tools, format converters, passport photo maker, and every other tool on the site, processes your images entirely within your own web browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API.
When you upload an image to use any tool on Firaa, that file is read directly into your browser’s memory on your own device. It is never transmitted to, received by, or stored on any Firaa server, any third-party server, or any cloud storage system. The entire process — reading your file, compressing it, resizing it, converting it, or applying any other transformation — happens locally on your computer or phone. When you click “Download”, the resulting file is generated directly in your browser and saved to your device.
This means we genuinely have no access to, and never see, the images you process using our tools. We cannot view them, we don’t store them, and we have no record of what images have been uploaded or processed at any point. This is true whether you’re compressing a casual photo, converting a document scan, or preparing a passport photo — the privacy protection is the same for every type of image and every tool on the site.
Information we do collect
While we never collect or see your images, we do collect some limited information through standard website operation, which we explain below.
Analytics data. Like most websites, we use analytics tools to understand how visitors use Firaa in aggregate — which pages are visited, which tools are most popular, how long visitors typically spend on the site, and general information about the device and browser being used. This data is anonymized and aggregated; it does not include the content of any images you process and is not linked to your personal identity.
Cookies. Firaa uses cookies for basic website functionality and for advertising purposes, described further below. Firaa displays advertising through Google AdSense to support the cost of running the website and keep every tool free for users.
